Corso Ercole I d'Este

It was called Via degli Angeli after the church of St. Mary of the Angels that once rose at the end of it.
Corso Ercole I d'Este

It is one of the two main streets of the Erculean Addition (as the Renaissance part of the town is called), and is flanked by beautiful palazzi. Its most impressive point is the Quadrivio degli Angeli, where it crosses Corto Porta Mare-Corso Biagio Rossetti: this was supposed to be the main crossroad of the Addition, enriched by richly decorated palazzi: Palazzo Diamanti, Palazzo Turchi di Bagno and Palazzo Prosperi Sacrati.
