Municipal Theatre
The Theatre was built between 1856 and 1861 and was projected by A. Giordani from Cento.
The massive building is embellished by a decoration of yellow and red fascias and by the introduction of medallions and brickwork busts, reproducing famous people. The theatre grew immediately important in the Opera world, representing great operas interpreted by illustrious people, like the tenor Giuseppe Borgatti, who sang for the first time in 1924. The halls of the lounge are frescoed and decorated by Beltrami and Canepa.
