After the 2016 'Beta Version”, Ferrara Film Festival takes the independent international movies and its red carpets to the Estense city, for a second edition with 24 screen shows, themed events, industry panels, and so much more. From the ensemble of 450 from all over the world, a selection of 24 films have been chosen, to be subtitled by the Studio Calabria Srl in Rome, one of the most famous Italian studios with a great knowledge on this topic. This will enlarge the group of people who can enjoy the Festival, gaining access to the screen shows.
The independent cinema will be in the spotlight of this event, organized by the actor and producer Maximilian Law, from Ferrara, ant the actress Alizè Latini, from Rome. This edition will present some interesting national and international premierés, and has gained the patronage of both the Comune di Ferrara and the USA Embassy in Italy.
Two exhibitions will be organized at Palazzo della Racchetta: the first is based on a selection of drawings and paintings by Michelangelo Antonioni, the second will be dedicated to the Marvel world, with its famous sci-fi stories.
Another theme will be given by the partnership with the Alliata family; Giovanni and Vittorio Alliata - linked to the character of Lyda Borrelli, the first Italian diva from Ferrara – will in fact show some film documents which will enrich the Ferrarese cinematographic panorama with pride and magic.
The Ferrara Film Festival is also the first cinematographic festival entirely subtitled. This is a concrete action to support the deaf people, thanks to Studio Calabria and to the technical support of Sara Gerini, volleyball player of the Italian National Team.
