Christmas is approaching and in Ferrara the atmosphere becomes magical, among markets, concerts, and events, waiting for the most awaited day of the year.

> CHRISTMAS MARKETS

Date: Until 6 January 2025,

Place: Piazza Trento Trieste

Time: every day from 10.00 to 19.30.

Piazza Trento Trieste turns into a big open market with typical products, arts and crafts, books, Christmas decorations.

> THE LIGHTS OF THE HISTORIC CENTER

The new lighting effects are in piazza Trento Trieste with a cascade of lights

> MARCHING BAND "Heart of Italy" Pipe Band

Date: Sunday 7 December

Place: Historic centre

Time: 17.00

The fascinating itinerant show of a band of bagpipes and drums among the palaces, squares and streets of Ferrara's historic centre.

> CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING WITH “FERRARA GOSPEL CHOIR ACADEMY” EXHIBITION

The lighting of the Christmas tree is accompanied by a live concert of the Ferrara Gospel Choir Academy in "The Joy of Christmas".

> BANDS IN TOWN, SYMPHONY UNDER THE OPEN SKY

Time: 16.00

The Ferrara, Cona and Voghenza marching bands, starting from three different points in the city, will perform Christmas songs through the streets of the historic centre. They will then come together for a wonderful finale near the Christmas tree in Piazza Cattedrale.

A concert of swing and Italian music under the Christmas tree! The rhythm of swing and the singability of Italian songs are the elements that the members of the group enhance and rework to present something energetic, fun and of quality.

A truly festive moment with Christmas reinterpretations of American vocal standards from the 1950s - swing, latin bossa and blues - rearranged in unusual and very special versions.

Attractions for the whole family, children's shows, food and drink area, lights and lots of fun make it one of the unmissable events of the city festivals!

Ice skating ring hours: holidays and pre-holidays from 10.30 a.m. to midnight | weekdays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. The rink will remain open until 2 February.
