The ecological area of the Porporana Wood is small, but very precious. During the last few years, wildlife in the wood has been well preserved and balanced, in order to improve environmental awareness and education.
Centro IDEA, in collaboration with Ufficio A.R.E. (Ecological Re-balancement Office) organizes educational tours and projects. The Eco-Station at Natural History Museum of Ferrara also organizes research projects and scientific studies on this area.At the Visitor Centre of Porporana Wood and at the didactic hall, many laboratories, exhibitions and educational activities are organized, as well as a mini-safari, to learn about this area through the eyes of Nature.
